OMG!

Never again will I change my Broadband plan to anything under 512/128

In fact, as of the first I will be enjoying speeds of 1.5mbps / 256kbps. I dub this setting "blister speed" and.. why the hell do I need to press space twice after I type one of these > " . It doesn't print the symbol on the screen otherwise.. hmmm

Anyways I'm off to bed to try and sleep.. I'm not really "ZZZzzz" tired tho, just shleepy.. ahh well, I'll give it a try, gnight!

Sorry I've taken so long to put this up.

We played basketball in a lazy fashion (by us I mean the Raptors team, not including me. I don't have a certain short, hairy Canadian mutants healing abilities.. although I wish I did.. along with a set of shiny metal claws :D:D ) that saw us win 45 - 23. They had four, we started with 6, but one of our players went down with an ankle injury.

There were spurts of brilliance and other times where we didn't play as a team. Hopefully we don't play like that against more able teams.

Anyway, moving on, this saturday night I'm going to see my girlfriend's favourite band Switchfoot play at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne. I'm very glad that they have seats there, as I don't think it would be good for my knee to be moshing.

*sigh* Anyways, I'd better get back to work.. I'm working on a comic at lunch; I've almost finished the pencils. But then I'm moving straight onto the pencils for the next 3 issues. I want to get a few finished before I post a comic. So you might be looking at seeing a comic late next week (read: sunday night). I figure because the storyline is wrapping up, I may as well do them at once so that we can get it over and done with.

And then we can move on..

I need better meds, my knee is very achey this morning, I didn't really have a great night's sleep because of it.

There's not alot to do at work at the moment. I don't know how I'm gonna go today without my arvo nap :-/

Wow!! That surgeon was amazing!!

I'm out of hospital already (in case you couldn't tell) and I'm feeling really good! The pain is near non-existent compared to my left knee op.

The scarring will be miniscule and I already nearly have full hyper extension and more flex than when I went in.

Anyways, Ima give you more updates as things come to hand.

*yawn* friday morning and I've been up since 615. Lucky me.

Got a text message from my new housemate John last night (as I was over the other side of the city at Maddy's house) telling me:

"v. sorry but moving out over wkend 2 stay wth workmate as cheaper + nearer work.had 2 txt u as havn't seen u. john"

*sigh* Moves in for a week and then moves out. We aren't *that* bad.. are we? Mel's boyfriend Chris had suspected he was going to move out either wednesday or thursday as he thought he was acting suspicious with a list of addresses and phonenumbers that he was quickly concealing whenever someone came near.

Ahh well, he was a bit quiet and weird, so this gives us an opportunity to find someone more lively and fun. However it doesn't give us very much time in which to do it. Rent is paid on the 18th of every month, and we need to get someone to move in by then to make it a smooth payment.

*sigh* nothing else really to report, other than I'm tireded :(

Saw the orthopaedic surgeon yesterday and made an appointment to have surgery next tuesday (15th) on my knee. I was hoping for sooner, but in fact it couldn't have happened better, because now I get to spend Valentine's Day with Maddy :) YAY!

But apparently this surgeon is much better than the one that operated on my left knee. The scarring will be a third and the recovery time is significantly lessened. Which is all good news. I should be able to drive about a fortnight after surgery.

The weather is almost repeating last wednesday's effort. It's not as heavy today, but it is persistant.

Maddy's brother 'dobbed' on her yesterday for having a tattoo. He's older than her mind you. It kind of backfired on him though, because her mum didn't *really* care about it. HA!

Stupid Messenger won't log me in *grumbles*

What the HELL was wednesday?! Oh my god. We had the highest rainfall in a day EVER in Melbourne, and we're still well and truly in summer. 120mm of rainfall. Which, from what I heard somewhere, equates to about two months of average rainfall. That should be good for the water catchments. We've been on water restrictions for a while now, so hopefully that eases the pressure a tad.

On the same day we won our first game back to basketball quite convincingly. We scored into the 50s and they were in the 20s. Everybody looked awesome in their new uniforms. Some changes need to be made to some of them, but they still looked good. Did I miss playing I hear you ask? Yes, yes I did. At one stage I nearly ran for the ball (I'm such a terrier) but then I had a painful twinge in my knee which quickly reminded me of my predicament. *sigh*

So I see the surgeon on monday. He's gonna tell me what he's gonna do to me and when. I'll be sure to post all the gorey details on here when I know.

Maddy's site is nearly finished. There's only the links page to go and it is complete. I still have to make a button for it on my site. *adds to to do list* Check out the 90% complete version here > .

New comic should be up in the next couple of days. It just needs to be coloured. I'm trying to get back into a groove, but this week has been hectic because I've been trying to get things organised and/or out of the way before I go into hospital to have my knee done. I still need to organise something for Maddy for Valentine's day. Still plenty of time ;)

..and it's RAINING again..

You GO summer! You GO!!

Heh heh heh..

Take THAT fish and greasy shop! *throws bag heavily laden with poo change* I got's myself a very crisp 5 dollar bill and some coin of larger denomination than I handed over :D

I felt very medieval handing over my purse full of copper to the shopkeep for a meal and some ale and then receiving a shiny gold piece and some silvers in return. It's almost like I *made* money instead of spending it. I mean, it's not like poo-change is real money, is it? It's only a small step up from Monopoly money. But that's only because they don't have the heart to evict the poor bizarre creature, known as the Echidna, from it's residence on the tail side of the coin.

I mean, gone are the possum and the frill necked lizard that once resided on the one and two cent pieces respectively. How long does the echidna have left in reality?

Only time.. will tell.. well I guess that's not very good for the echidna is it? I mean it could suddenly dawn on the powers-that-be that they no longer want to have a 5 cent piece and before you know it the poor little echidna is extinct! We need to get some early warning systems in place where the general public can access the popularity of the littlest denomination. That way we can act in time to prevent the extinction of another Australian Icon!
So, nothing really *exciting* to blog about.. although I was hit by a flu train on friday night. Made my weekend really exciting. I especially loved the shaking with the chills on saturday night, whilst drenching the bed in sweat.. mMmmm gotta love that detail..

So this morning, I woke up feeling much better. My throat was relatively fine (I suspect it was only a light shade of pink as opposed to the violent burgandy it was 24 hours prior).

Over the course of the weekend I managed to find a tenant for our spare room. His name is John and he's originally from Yorkshire, UK. He's been in Oz for about 3 months and he's a geologist.. mMm.. dirt. He's seemed pretty cool - really easy to get along with - and he was happy with the arrangement. So that was that. He moves in friday.

Basketball goes back tomorrow, which may or may not be depressing as I'm starting to enter a stage where I feel like I would be able to live without sport. My leg isn't bothering me much at all these days; it clicks every now and then, but it doesn't bring me pain. I'm still gonna go through with the surgery, as I'm sure my desire to chase after an odd shaped ball will devour my growing laziness by the time the next football season rolls around (which is just over a year *sigh*).

Tomorrow will be the first time everyone will be wearing their new uniforms. They're gonna look sooooo good! I'm so gonna have to take a team photo. *makes note* "Make sure everybody arrives by 9:15".. done..

Right. Well there should be a comic this week. I know, another comic?! But I don't know how much of it I'll get done tonight, because there's a new Simpsons on and after that is the new season premiere of The O.C. Which I ain't gonna be missing for nothing.. and that's only because Maddy likes the O.C. as well :P

I might get a little bit done at work, but don't be holding your breath. If I do get any time, I have to fix Maddy's site. Well, it's not cos I *have* to, it's because I want to finish it. It looks pretty good so far, but it's dodgy cos it's unfinished. I just think that that just isn't good enough.

*sigh* well ima go get some food with this $15 worth of 5 cent pieces..
