Costello Hits Hollywood
Reported by Nick Bugeja for darkris.com

Sick and tired of living in Prime Minister John Howard's shadow, Federal Treasurer Peter Costello has given up the high profile life of federal politics and is heading for theatrics of a different kind: hollywood.

Recently cast in the upcoming Star Wars chapter, Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, Costello hopes it will help him force his way into the international spotlight. In the film, Costello plays Sith Apprentice Darth Revenue, a chubby, clumsy sidekick to Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader.

"Costello as Darth Revenue"

One can only assume that the character has been included for comic relief, much the same as Jar Jar Binks in Episode 1, who was included to take away from the heavy political issues in the first film; much like Costello's role in Parliament.

With the increasing popularity of uncooridinated heroes such as Homer Simpson and King of Queens star Kevin James are sure to make Costello's Darth Revenue a hit with fans, despite, or perhaps because of his bumbling antics.

Costello's popularity only seems to be growing too as his bid to land a role in the upcoming Rock film "Welcome to the Jungle 2: Brotherly Love" (we he was to play the The Rock's brother) has been successful. Producer Ron I. Mahyman was quoted saying "I love this guy! This was the role he was born to play! I swear the pair must have been switched at birth - despite the obvious age difference."

"Can you smell what Costello is cooking?"

Welcome to the Jungle 2 is due to hit cinemas next April.

An awesome win last night sees us sitting 3rd on the ladder! Out of 11 teams, I'd say that's perdy good :) By awesome I mean that the team play was terrific and players that have been MIA the last couple of games really came into their own and put in some very decent individual performances. I'd name names, but I'd just be naming everyone on the team ;)

I'm so proud *tear*

Maddy and I went to the Harp last night in Kew with her friends Alicia, Tsari and her boyfriend James. There was a $500 door prize just for being there *sigh* which I didn't win.. I think I left there wearing more alcohol than I had imbibed.. stupid bloody drunk people not being able to see!!!

An ugly win on wednesday only by 4 points. It wasn't a very good display. There were some brilliant individual efforts by Chief, Stuey DeLange, Brendo and Scotty..

I've had another busy week, and this upcoming week looks to be about the same :-/

This weekend should be good though; I'm treating Maddy to a night out on the town. It should be fun. I can't reveal too may details here cos she might read it, not that she doesn't know about tonight, but she doesn't know little details ;) and it's none of yer business :P

Hehehe.I bought a Wacom Tablet this week. On eBay. I'm still waiting for it to be delivered though. *sigh* I want it NOW :( I got the Intuos3 9x12" (roughly A4), so it will be interesting to see how quick it takes me to master it.

That's it for now, I have heaps of work to do *sigh* catch.

Morning all!

So goddamn busy this week! I really can't be bothered going into detail, but alot has been happening.

The Raptors won by 9 points on wednesday night! RAWK! However, we had 7, they had 4, so we should have really been able to beat them by more. They were really good opposition. Better than the last time we played them anyway.

I saw my surgeon on thursday, just a follow-up about my knee. When I asked how I was doing he replied, and I quote "you're better than you should be."

How's that for positive news?

I have an ulcer the size of a five cent piece at the back of my throat which is making swallowing and general day-to-day living difficult. I don't know how long I can stand it for; I just wanna rip my throat out to make the bloody thing go away! I must be on a nerve or something cos everytime it pulses with pain, it hurts in my ear! Man does that kill. So must of the day I'm walking around with a finger in my ear. Not a good look.

Anyway, I'm gonna go and get back to work. I have some samples to make and a work website to build. Joy.

Over the Hill beat the Raptors on wednesday night. They had 7, we had 4.. we kept them to a level score until 4 minutes into the second half when fatigue got to us.

It's ok, we'll club them with a full team. All in all I was pleased with the way my team played :)

I get to work from home for a bit of next week! Yay me!

I've been given the task of developing the company website, and they said that because of my knee, and what is involved in the task, that I would be able to work from home. Sweet AS!

Issues 94 and 95? Pencilled.

Issues up to 114? Plotted.

Vampire Story Conclusion? Issue 103.

Comic Cycle? Bi-Weekly.

Starting When? When I've pencilled up until issue 103, I'll begin inking and posting comics. So probably from next week, late next week.

Apart from that I've been working like a dog. Well maybe not that hard, but I have been going to work as usual (actually an hour and a half later than usual this morning) and working freelance when I'm not at work. On top of that I've been dealing with this stupid leg of mine and cleaning up the house. Ok the last two aren't really work so much as a chore, but still, very time consuming.

Just thought you should know. Anyway, I'm going to get back to doing issue 96 on my lunchbreak..
