Been a while since I posted, sorry guys. My life has been everywhere these last couple of months.

I'm still working on a new website that showcases both my blogging and my artwork, and once that is up there will be several blogs. This one, and one for each of the sporting teams I'm involved in.

So.. I saw Episode 3 at 12:01 Thursday morning. It exceeded even my wildest expectations. So chilling in parts. Two thumbs up. I'm not going to talk about it too much cos there are a few people that haven't seen it yet that read this post, so with respect to them I'm not going to spoil anything.

The Districts annihilated Brunswick Power last saturday by 23.20 (158 points). And rightly so too, as the Power are safe and sound on the bottom of the ladder, and I would be very surprised if they managed to win a game this year at all. Still we should have beaten them by more.

The Raptors have had 2 games since I posted last. Both of which they won. Both margins I'm not too sure of, as I don't have the scoresheets on hand, but they weren't percentage boosting games. Wednesday nights game I'm not too sure of cos I was lining up for episode 3, but I was informed that it wasn't a massive victory.

The Tigers are also on a roll. They've won 3 in a row now and this week is the biggest test of our new found form when they play the Brisbane Lions up there. A very, very tough match to win. But I'm confident that they will prevail.

Not much other news at hand, been working and driving around mostly. There should be some more news posts next week onward when my life finally settles down into a pattern.

Here are some photos from wednesday night's line wait:

This little droid chased us around for about 15 minutes.

The guy in the middle had an interesting take on the Mace Windu character. LOL. He is also the guy that sold me my GBA SP from my local EB store. I'm not sure if the guy on the right actually knew what was going on. I think he dresses like that normally, he certainly smelled like he'd worn his robes for an extended amount of time.

Wow! What a couple of very nice footy wins on the weekend!

Coburg Districts

Well the Lions started, persisted and finished strong on the weekend, notching up the biggest win for the round. It was an overall terrific performance by all players. This sees the Mighty Lions sitting 8th in the reserves on 2 wins and 2 losses and after the seniors recorded their first win for the season, they are sitting 11. Both of these positions should improve in the next two weeks with the next two rounds setting up to be good percentage boosting games with the seniors playing the 14th (read: last) and the 12th placed teams and the reserves plaing the 14th and then the 10th placed team.

COBURG DISTRICTS 19.15-129 GLADSTONE PARK 3.7-25

Richmond Tigers

The Tigers had an awesome win, and notched up their 5th win for the season by annihilating one of their mortal enemies the Carlton Blues by 85 points. It's the greatest margin the Tiges have ever beaten the Blues by, and they never looked like losing.

This win sees them sitting 5th on the ladder and their percentage is now comparable to other teams in the top 8. For more details visit www.afl.com.au

Final scores Richmond 23. 13. (151) Carlton 10. 6. (66)

BLAH!

Been a while huh? A lot has been happening of late, and I was hoping to have my new website up and running before posting, but it seems that didn't happen.

Sports News:

So there have been several games played for both basketball and football. So I will summise here and try to keep up to date with new games as they are played.

We'll start with the Raptors

April 13: The Raptors Win after starting poorly against ACP. The Raptors hit back in the second half and hit the front. They kicked on to a decent victory after 3 of the opposition players were fouled off.

April 20: The Raptors Win against The Yarras. No other details at this stage.

April 27:The Raptors Lose to the team directly above them on the ladder: The Misfits. After only mustering 4 players for the 10:15 match, I solicited Maddy's brother George (who plays representative basketball for the Coburg Giants) to play for us. The game see-sawed for a long time and we ended up only losing by 2 points.

Coburg Districts Lions Football Club

April 16:
The Districts Lose their opening round match to Altona. Altona 15-17-107
Lions 5-3-33.

April 23: The Districts Lose their second round match, and first home game to West Footscray. Lions 7-2-44 W.Footscray 14-17-101.

April 30: The Districts open their account for the season by winning in convincing fashion against top of the table Wyndhamvale Falcons. After starting with only 17 players because of the remote location of the ground confusing some players, the Lions found some form in the second quarter, using the wind to stack on 5 unanswered goals. From there it was a whitewash of goals as the Falcons didn't score another goal until 8 minutes into the last quarter. By then it was too late, as the Lions managed to score another two goals despite some blazing away at goals.

Final results: Falcons 4-4-28
Lions 10-11-71.

AFL

April 10: The Tigers defeat the Bulldogs in gritty fashion. Western Bulldogs 11.18. (84) Richmond Tigers 12.16. (88)

April 17: The Tigers defeat the Dockers in convincingly at the MCG. Richmond Tigers 14.16. (100) Fremantle Dockers 7.10. (52)

April 24: The Tigers are SMASHED by preliminary finalists St. Kilda. St. Kilda Saints 22.15. (147) Richmond Tigers 11.13. (79)

May 1: The Tigers absolutely systematically destroy last years premiers Port Adelaide by 56 points. Richmond Tigers 19.9. (123) Port Adelaide Power 9.13. (67)

That's it for the wrap at this stage. I'll make a commitment to post more details more often. The new website should be up very soon!
