Sup.

So I'm all moved in now, not unpacked, and still without my bond, but I'm in nonetheless.

Let's go through things in reverse chronological order:

At about 12 midnight last night, the first stages of buyer's remorse gripped me as I came to terms with spending $500 on a mobile phone. *shakes head* I'm so ridiculously addicted to keeping up with the Jones's that I purchased a Samsung D500 on eBay just to make sure I didn't buy something redundant.. and have been convincing myself ever since that it was the right thing to do.

Mine's black.

This all came about because the product of my last gadget-induced psychosis, my O2 XDII, lost the battle of the bounce. Dropped one too many times, the XDAII's charging port finally snapped off the circuit board, leaving me to operate the phone on minimal power until I had time to back up all of my contacts and details. So sad.

RIP O2 XDAII. You will be sorely missed.

I saw Sin City last night. It finally came out in Australia on thursday and damn, it was worth the wait. I now want to go out and buy the graphic novels and read them. I never really got into the comics when I was actively collecting; wasn't my genre. But after seeing the movie, and having grown considerably as a collector in the last 10 years, I would say I missed out in a big way. Maddy's brother George go to see it last night also, but in Gold Class. We bought the tix for his 21st, cos he's been dying to see it for like 4 months. He'd already dubbed it his favourite movie of all time.. and he hadn't seen it yet.

Speaking of George, it was his 21st birthday party on saturday night. This was at their dad's house in Ascot Vale, and he and Stella really put on a great party. The food was magnificent, and the company was great. Leading up to the party on saturday, I spent the day at Maddy's work making the photo boards for the party. My idea was to make a folding book of photos that we could hang from the wall and get people to sign on the night so that George would have something to remember his night by. We ended up making two books and two banners cos there were sooooo many photos! They ended up going down a treat, which made all our hard work being worthwile in the end :)

Maddy made this in Photoshop to put up on the wall as well:

Jorge the Horse-Thief. This photo lead to accusations that George is in fact a stripper by night, going by the name of Bang-Bang George. Who knows, maybe his perfectly square is hiding this very sordid secret. Despite the title on the poster, George does not perform his act with horses.

Saturday morning I, among with millions of fans worldwide, got to sink my teeth into Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It had been something like 12 months since I finished Order of the Phoenix, so I was a bit rusty with my Potterisms. Unfortunately for me, I haven't really had a decent chunk of spare time to really sit down and attack the book. I'm only halfway through Chapter 6: Draco's Detour. But I guess that's OK, cos I have to do something like 2 months worth of washing and drying tonight, so I'll have plenty of time.

MMM.. 608 pages of hormone charged wand-twirling.. yeah, I know how that sounds..

Thursday night was the first game for Mixed Basketball. Yeah, sure we lost by 20 points, the opposition were rough AND ugly (James threw up in his mouth at the site of cottage cheese protruding from one of the chicks on the opposition that must have thought she could somehow squeeze into a size 6 pair of shorts. Her ass cheeks were exposed out the bottom of her shorts by at LEAST 10cms!!) and Maddy had a breathing attack because of a cold shes had for the last week. But the main thing was we had FUN! Right guys? Right? Ahh well, I had fun anyway :P I'm not sure who is and who isn't playing this week, we might struggle to get a side together..
